Iq Competition Day

Today we hosted the very first state qualifying Vex Iq competition! Our iq kids work very hard to program their robot with a one minute autonomous program and another one minute in the competition for their driver control program. While the robot does use a robot in this second section, the kids have programmed the remote as well. We had an exciting day with the Holman Stembots opposing us. They brought two teams for our battle. Their Stembots placed first. It was a great day learning how competitions worked. All the teams present even qualified for the state competition! The two fields used in this competition were from a grant we received through 4h and the um extension office. We are so fortunate to have an amazing partnership with these wonderful organizations. They even supplied the space for our meet! A big shout out to 4h and the um extension!
